English language training for waiters and waitresses
This essentially oral course is aimed at people who need to interact in English in the catering sector and more specifically in the room service professions (waiter, commis de salle, maître d'hôtel, chef de rang, sommelier, barman, etc.) and who need to acquire the basics to become more fluent.
Over a 4-week period, through real-life situations and a variety of activities directly related to the job, participants practise the lexicon, structures and typical phrases used in reception and restaurant service.

Thanks to this training course, you will be able to develop your interpersonal skills and acquire additional language skills to:

Welcome customers, assign them a table and enquire about their wishes

Present the menu, give advice and suggest dishes

Inform customers about the different dishes, their composition and cooking methods and promote the house specialities

Present the wine list

Take orders and pass them on to kitchen staff
- Know the vocabulary of glasses, plates and cutlery according to the menu
- Know how to present dishes and drinks when serving them
- Be attentive and responsive to customers' requests and their comfort, look after their well-being, provide them with information and manage delicate situations
- Prepare the bill, present it and cash it; take leave of the customer
- Interact with the team
